Not to be confused with the American director and producer sharing his name, Michael Moore is an English actor whose career covers most of the Sixties and Seventies, mostly in supporting roles and uncredited bit parts. His earliest roles were in the movies "Stranger at My Door," "Chelsea Story," "Murder at Scotland Yard," "Babes in the Wood," "Othello," "Booby Trap" and "Assignment Redhead" as well as roles in the TV series "Armchair Theatre," "The BBC Sunday-Night Theatre" and "Dial 999." He appeared several times on the TV series "Charlie Drake" and "Doctor Who." He appeared on "The Benny Hill Show" in 1969 and 1972, receiving a credit for his repeated sketches in The Best of Benny Hill. He also had roles in "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "War & Peace" before appearing uncredited several times in the TV series, "Dad's Army." He passed away on March 24, 1979.
