Linda Finch is an English dancer and choreographer probably best known as a choreographer to the Hill's Angels on "The Benny Hill Show."
Linda is the daughter of Elizabeth Finch, the founder of the Finch Stage School in Essex, England, and the sister of actor Roger Finch who starred in several episodes of "The Benny Hill Show" from 1978 to 1979. Taught in dance since the age of six, she appeared in the TV children's talent show, "Carol Levi's Discoveries" later winning numerous awards for dancing and singing in festivals throughout the United Kingdom. Her first professional job was as a lead dancer in "Cabaret," soon getting recognised for her talents as a choreographer.
At 16, Finch was choreographing for touring companies, summer shows, pantomime, revues, TV specials and musicals in London and Europe which included "Sweet Charity," "West Side Story" at London's Shaftsbury Theatre. She went on to choreograph episodes of "The Benny Hill Show," "The Jim Davidson Show," "Cinderella," "Top of the Pops," "Out and About" and "Leisure Time." She also choreographed commercials for L'Oreal, Anglian Windows, Black & Decker, Dance World, Hair Innovations at London's Hippodrome and the Diamond Jubilee for CCPR at the Royal Albert Hall. She also choreographed the "1999 Harrods Christmas parade," "Where the River Meets the Sea" in the Millennium Dome at Greenwich and a "Gala Performance" at the Hackney Empire. Her theatre work includes "Sweet Charity," "South Pacific," "Oklahoma," "Chess," "Carousel," "Guys and Dolls" and "Annie."
Linda is now the Principal of The Finch Stage School, founded by her mother in 1933. She is a life member of the B.A.T.D. London District Stage and Ballet Committee and is a frequent lecturer.
